I am currently recruiting for a well-established company in Burton on Trent for Production Operatives. The successful production operative must be able to meet shift requirements working both days and nights on a rota. or a straight Monday to Friday shift is available The production operative roles are to contribute to the efficient running of the manufacturing processes in order to consistently meet safety, quality, productivity, and budgetary targets, ensuring responsibility of the correct operation of the machine. Tobe accountable for their commitment to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental aspects of their role and working environment.Production operative key duties include: Adherence to Company Health & Safety working practices and legislative regulations. Working to high quality standards and within set tolerances. Quality inspection of product and final packaging appearance. Set up and operation machinery to different specifications. Take an active role in contributing to minimising wastage and production costs. Contribute to the consistent delivery of production targets and budgeted operational performance. Demonstrate the competent application of best practices required to consistently operate to high standards. Contribute to line changeovers. Liaise with Assistant Works Manager, Production Supervisors and Maintenance Team for the reporting and repairing of machinery. Follow the Company process for reporting hazards, near misses etc. Maintain exceptionally high standard of housekeeping. Flexibility to maintain cover during periods of annual leave and sickness absence as and when required. Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures which are relevant to both the site and the working environment. Any other duties as deemed reasonable by your line manager.The successful production operatives will have machine operating experience and be comfortable working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.This is a full time temporary to permanent production operative role, offering a pay rate is £10 p/h with additional £0.50 per hour attendance bonus along with production bonus on top of.
