Job Title: Parts Cleaner Location: Burton On Trent areaDuration: Temp ( 3 months) Pay Rates: DOEHours of work: (44 hours) 7am to 5pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 7am to 1pm.Our Engineering client based in the Burton On Trent area, is looking for a Parts Cleaner on a temporary basis.Candidates must have own transport due to site location.Position Summary:The role of the Parts Cleaner/Inspector is to ensure that all parts are cleaned, inspected and sorted for refurbishment, re-use or disposal. Also, to ensure parts are processed in a safe manner, to the correct standard and accordance with the production schedule.Key Accountabilities/ responsibilities:List key accountabilities1. General cleaning and preparation of engine, transmission and raft parts using manual tools, dual acting sander (DA) scrapers etc..2. Load / unload parts into cleaning machines3. Follow the relevant working instructions / process plans etc.4. Inspect for signs of damage/wear5. Disassemble parts for re-use/deep cleaning6. Record acceptance or rejection of parts on inspection report7. Identify structural and material defects8. Interpret and present findings of faults9. Understand the production schedule, and work closely with production and engineering to build a schedule that delivers minimum interruption to manufacturing output10. Maintain NDT equipment as and when required11. Mentor trainees / apprentices when applicable12. Work to and support all relevant 5S activities13. Report any near misses14. Ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner15. Report any issues or problems with jobs to the line manager16. Take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks that are within the employees skills and abilities17.
