Job Description

Head of Health, Safety & ComplianceBurton-on-TrentCirca £77,00037 hours per weekOur client is looking to appoint a highly experienced Health, Safety & Compliance leader.This is an exceptional opportunity to provide professional health, safety & compliance leadership to their teams on all levels, as well as offering support and advice to the management teams, employees and contractors.They are proud of what they have achieved and strive to continue their award-winning success. Therefore, they are seeking a postholder who will continue to improve performance through the implementation of health and safety management systems, as well asother current standards and legislation.The role will include:

  • Successfully design, deliver and maintain a health and safety change programme to embed and drive a positive safety culture across the organisation
  • Ensure the timely delivery of associated health and safety management action plans and operational programmes
  • Oversee consistency of delivery of health and safety training, measure, identify and pursue significant issues
  • Assist in the development and delivery of strategic objectives, reporting to the board when required on performance
What you will need to have:
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in a construction/buildings maintenance / compliance environment
  • A track record in advising in a site / project environment
  • Hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge and experience of good working practices in Health, Safety and Compliance is crucial
  • Confidence to act as a member of the Operations Directorate, Wider Leadership and Senior Management Teams.
Desirable:
  • Experience of managing a team of health, safety and compliance professionals, have acted as a CDM Co-ordinator under CDM 2007 or a Client Advisor under CDM 2015
