Job Description

Production AdministratorBurntwoodTemp - Perm8:30 - 5pm Monday to Friday£11.00phDuties:The main purpose of this role is to assist the business in the area of production; quality control and despatch within the workshop and warehouse department. The role is a combination of administrative duties and physical activities such as assembly & QAinspection. The primary duties will be connected with the following aspects of business operations:

  • Maintaining and reviewing production schedules based on the requirements logged in by the sales team
  • Coordinating the information flow via liaison between the production and sales departments
  • Producing and archiving documents relating to production, quality assurance and despatch procedures
  • Active involvement in assembly of products; stock put away and despatch duties
  • Communication with the sales Team
  • Communication with production staff
  • Informing about changes made by customers or sales staff (making sure that production process is carried out and based on the latest copy of amendment for the sales order
  • Solving potential problems noticed by assembly fitters with regard to sales orders (picking lists & Bills of Material)
  • Advising staff about the quantity of stock available
  • Maintaining computerised system (Intellect) in the field of stock control as well as producing all relevant paperwork related to production and despatch processes
Production planning activities such as;
  • Liaising with the line manager in order to give priority to extremely urgent orders and make him aware of special customer requirements
  • Reporting stock shortages and very low stock levels to the Purchasing manager
  • Submitting stock replenishment reports to purchasing manager
  • Analysing shipment paperwork for the incoming consignments of goods
  • Liaising with the Quality manager on non-conforming goods; goods returned by customers and supplier shipment and technical claims
Additional Requirements:
  • Ensuring that quality and health and safety procedures are met with regard to production process and document control policy according to Companys Quality and Health & Safety Management Systems
  • Control of documentation for production (this would include pictures taken of large and export jobs)
  • Upkeep proactive H&S inspection regime (checklist and inspection forms)
  • Ensuring that only the latest versions of controlled documents are in use
  • Taking photos of certain products/orders according to the operational procedures
  • Daily KPI
  • Filing
  • Scanning and archiving completed picking lists
  • Despatch reports and delivery notes
