Job Description

A Project Engineer is required for a long term contract (c12months) for a large manufacturing business near Burnley. The role is ideally to start as soon as possible however short notice will be considered. This is a days based role that will support thedevelopment of the site.Client DetailsThe organisation is in the Forbes Top 5 employers in their industry and is a large multi-National manufacturing business with a strong vision to make their industry safer and more sustainable. The facility in Burnley predominantly manufactures composites.DescriptionAs the Project Engineer you will work closely with the Facilities Team to support the sites footprint project including:

  • a detailed survey of the existing assembly and process equipment.
  • developing the new layout configuration by working with the manufacturing engineering and tooling teams to optimise space/process flow.
  • managing the procurement, installation and commissioning of the infrastructure facility ready to move, commission and handover the assembly line in its new location.
  • managing contractors.
  • liaising with suppliers to ensure the project time-line is achieved.
  • ensuring Health & Safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
  • budget control and management.
ProfileThe successful Project Engineer will have:
  • previously worked in a similar Project Engineering role within manufacturing ie installations, process flow, factory layout, line moves - ESSENTIAL
  • strong written and verbal communications skills - ESSENTIAL
  • working knowledge of CAD (2&3D) - ESSENTIAL
  • a relevant engineering qualification or be a time served mechanical engineer - ESSENTIAL
  • a project management or Six Sigma qualification - HIGHLY DESIRABLE
Job OfferThis is a long term contract for 12 months based in Burnley to start as soon as possible. The working hours are Mon-Thurs 8am to 4.30pm and 8am - 1pm on Fridays.
