Job Description

A Manufacturing Engineer is required for a 2 year contract for a large manufacturing business near Burnley. The role is ideally to start as soon as possible however short notice will be considered. This is a days based role.Client DetailsThe organisation is in the Forbes Top 5 employers in their industry and is a large multi-National manufacturing business with a strong vision to make their industry safer and more sustainable. The facility in Burnley predominantly manufactures composites.DescriptionAs the Manufacturing Engineer you will work closely with the wider engineering team to:

  • develop and ensure a smooth production process, through evolving and introducing the most suitable manufacturing processes.
  • deliver safe, high quality, repeatable, cost effective solutions within agreed, calculated time outputs.
  • provide line/process support to the industrial function, problem solving, taking corrective actions and identifying further development opportunities.
  • focus on the programming and support of CNC machine tools and Robotic cells.
  • support laser ply projection, 5 axis programming and sheet metal NC processes
ProfileThe successful Manufacturing Engineer will have:
  • previously worked in a similar position within manufacturing - ESSENTIAL
  • strong written and verbal communication skills and be used to/enjoy working in a team - ESSENTIAL
  • an understanding of CAD systems (ideally CATIA) and robotic control systems (ideally Delmia) - ESSENTIAL
  • working knowledge of Lean methodologies - ESSENTIAL
  • a relevant Engineering qualification or equivalent - HIGHLY DESIRABLE
Job OfferThis is a long term contract (c2years) to start as soon as possible for a days based role in Burnley. The hours will be 8am - 4.30pm Mon-Thur and Friday 8am -1pm.Contact extensions and/or permanent opportunities may be available for the successful candidate.
