Job Description

Full & Part Time Adult Support Worker Job Vacancy, Burnley, Lancashire - No previous experience required full training provided - Car drivers preferred however not essential.Becoming an Adult Support Worker could be just the start of your career, there are lots of career progression opportunities within Adult Social Care and lots of opportunities to gain further qualifications enabling you to progress to Supervisory or Manageriallevels in the future.   • £10.29 per hour.
  • £20,119.53 per annum (37.5 hours per week) pro rata for Part-time.
  • Sleep in shifts paid at £65.00 per shift, in addition to annual salary.
  • Car drivers - mileage paid at 45p per mile.

The Role As a Support Worker you will work with the people being supported so they can live as independently as possible in their own homes. You will encourage them to make positive lifestyle choices and engage in the local community. Every day is as different asthe people we support. They are all unique, with different needs for support. They may have learning disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behaviours that challenge. You will help them to do the every-day things that most of us take for granted. That mightinvolve shopping, meal planning, cooking, budgeting, getting out and about on trips, going on holiday, attending a range of social groups and, above all, encouraging them to live safely with meaning and purpose.
