We are currently seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our clients team, providing crucial assistance and guidanceto families facing various challenges.Job Overview: As a Family Support Worker, you will be an integral part of a team focused on strengthening family units and promoting the overall well-being of individuals facing difficulties. Your role will involve offering practical support, resources, and advocacy toempower families to overcome challenges and thrive.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of families to identify strengths, needs, and potential risks.
  2. Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with families, addressing areas such as parenting skills, housing, education, and financial stability.
  3. Provide emotional support and counseling to families facing challenges such as parenting stress, domestic violence, substance abuse, or mental health issues.
  4. Connect families with relevant community resources, social services, and support networks to enhance their capacity for self-sufficiency.
  5. Advocate for the rights and best interests of children and vulnerable family members within the community and social service systems.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the progress of families, adjusting support plans as needed to achieve positive outcomes.
  7. Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and interventions.
  8. Collaborate with other professionals, agencies, and community organizations to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to family support.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelors degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in family support, social work, or a related field.
  3. Strong understanding of family dynamics, community resources, and social services.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  5. Empathy, patience, and cultural competence in working with families from various backgrounds.
  6. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in family support work.
  7. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  8. Familiarity with case management software and documentation practices.
