Job Description

We are recruiting for a successful and leading company in Brentwood who are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join their established team.You will be working as part of the collection function, to chase outstanding payments owed, whilst providing a vital support to the billings team.There is onsite parking , hybrid working and flexible working times.This role is a 3 month temp role with the potential of going perm.Your main duties in this role will include:

  • Being responsible for cash collection of the assigned ledger
  • Resolving any disputes from clients and answering queries to agreed turnaround times
  • Monitor and manage bad & aged debt and escalate when required to management
  • Weekly reporting to highlight high risk accounts
  • Account reconciliation
  • Monitor and manage credit limits
  • Maintenance of ledger inclusive of; unallocated cash, write off proposals and credit balances
  • Processing of accounts to external debt collection agency where appropriate
Key Requirements for the role:
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise their workload efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop effective relationships both internally and externally
  • Previous Credit control experience is a must- 3+years minimum
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel is a must
  • Ability to work well within a team and individually
  • Previous use of accountancy packages/ systems
