Please ensure you have the right to live and work in the UK before applying.Job title: Care Team LeaderLocation: Douglas House Care Home, Douglas Avenue, Brixham, TQ5 9ELRate Of Pay: £10.92 per hour (£21,294 per annum)Shift Patterns: 37.5 hrs per week - Full Time, permanentInformation about the Role:Working as a Care Team Leader at Douglas House your duties will include the following:· Supervise and inspire a team of dedicated Support Workers.· Administer medication, conduct assessments.· Ensure that care plans are kept up to date.· Respect the dignity and preferences of the people we support as well playing your own part in establishing a home where everyone feels safe and confident to live their best life.· Be involved and deliver daily activities to the people we support.· Manage and help organise the duty rota.· Carrying out duties as requested by senior management.Information about the Service:Douglas House specialise in supporting people who have varying needs as a result of physical & long term neurological conditions including cancer care, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, epilepsy, brain injury, Huntington’s disease, motor neurone disease, multiplesclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, spina bifida & hydrocephalus and stroke.Our Registered Nurse teams are highly skilled and trained to deliver specialist and complex nursing care and have significant experience with tracheostomy, PEG/NG care, wound management and the provision of end of life care.Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Team Leader:· NVQ 3 or above in Health and Social Care.· Ideally 6 month or more experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant / Senior Support Worker / Team Leader or Deputy Manager in Mental Health.· Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life.· Good communication skills.· Able handle sometimes challenging situations.· Able to build relationships with many different people.Oakleaf Recruitment are the In-House Recruitment Team for a growing group of Services and Hospitals across the UK
