Job Description

Reed Business Support are working with a globally established Manufacturing company in the search of a Junior Procurement Official due to their expanding operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking, fun-loving and busy officeenvironment.Benefits: Wage: £20,000 - £24,000 Holidays: 25 Days + Bank Holidays Work: MondayFriday 08:3017:00 (1 hour break) Starting times can be flexible for childcare or other issues Pension and Life Insurance are supported by the company.Reporting to the Procurement Manager the role is to assist the procurement team in ensuring the accurate purchasing of materials and products to support a quick and dynamic industry whilst maintaining a tight control on inventory levels.This is an ideal opportunity for someone either new to or wanting to progress their career in procurement.Key Responsibilities: Run daily stock requisition reports. Obtaining quotes from suppliers. Raise purchase orders and manufacturing orders. Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery dates. Address delivery discrepancies and invoice queries. Work alongside warehouse team to ensure operational efficiencies are maintained. Clear communication through emails and teams internally and externally. Attend bimonthly Key Account Meetings.Skills & Experience: Excellent telephone manner. A team player, able to work under pressure to deadlines. Excellent IT skills essential (Microsoft Excel, Email). Excellent communication skillsboth verbal and written. Previous purchasing experience would be an advantage.This location has limited Public Access, so a driving license would be preferable for potential candidates.If you believe you would be a good fit for this role, apply below!
