Quality EngineerThe Role:Responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), writing procedures and processes to support the QMS development.Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business as well as across the supply chain.Provide training and champion the Quality Management System.Work with suppliers to develop and implement best practices that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements.Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support to suppliers.Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.General Duties/Key Responsibilities:Control financial aspects of the contract including: Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP). Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements Assist in the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks Assist in new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues. Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company, including any business accreditations Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business Analyse current and future procedural needs of the business Organise and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditors Host external Quality System audits Provide training on Quality issues and business processes Coordinate the review of Quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiatives Plan Standard Operating practices required under the overriding Quality procedures Maintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documents Support other functional areas of the business including procurement, business services and designLocation: Brierley HillContract: Full Time PermanentSalary: £30,000 - £35,000Benefits: CompetitiveClosing date 14-11-2022You may also have experience in the following: Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, ISO9001, Quality Assurance Manager, Senior Compliance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, QA, Quality Assurance, Compliance,Quality Assurance Engineer, Compliance Manager, etcRef 137 392
