QHSE Engineer Bridgend, South WalesFull-time, permanentSalary: £28K - £35K plus benefits Our client is an innovative and successful privately owned SME that designs and manufactures hi- tech capital equipment for worldwide export with a head office in the UK and two overseas offices. A vacancy has arisen for a QHSE Engineer within the operationsgroup. Reporting to the Operations Director this position will provide guidance and oversight to the day-to-day regulatory activity.Principle AccountabilitiesCo-ordinating, controlling and carrying out periodic internal quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001 certification requirements, and manage external quality audits as required by the assessment body.Ensure the up-to-date maintenance of quality records and manuals; define and introduce new and revised quality procedures as required.Conduct regular management quality review meetings to report on quality issues and take whatever action is necessary as a result.Ensure prompt corrective and preventative action is taken regarding all quality procedures so as to ensure continued compliance with quality standards.Monitor and maintain all test equipment (Including calibration) and record updates.Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of appropriate quality standards. Deal with customer questionnaires regarding ISO9001/Build Standards/International Certifications/ Suppliers.Health & SafetyAct as main company representative for health and safety issues.Conduct induction training relating to health and safety.Carry out in-house risk assessments, health and safety inspections. Coordination of First Aid members and act as Fire Warden - fire extinguisher inspection, fire alarm testing, fire drills and insurance visits.Contractors health and safety questionnaires (installation and servicing).EnvironmentMonitor and support the company "Net Zero" policy and targets.Data collection, analysis and generation of quarterly environmental performance report.Job Specific Skills/Personal QualitiesMinimum of 3 years in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.Minimum affiliate member of IoSH, associate member (AIoSH) preferred.Strong verbal and precise written communications skills to engage with internal and external contacts, effectively gather information and express instructions clearly.Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail with excellent planning skills to manage time, resources and conflicting / changing priorities to meet deadlines.Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are operating as an employment agency on behalf of its client.To Apply please follow the application process for the site this job is advertised on or email your CV to .
