Job Description

Winners of the EIC Award for Innovation, our client has been at the forefront of emergency safety shower, eye/face wash and decontamination equipment manufacturing for 50 years. An experienced Technical and Commercial Sales Manager is required to drive sales growth of selected product lines for on ground cover products and other engineered solutions productsEngineered Solutions Sales ManagerStockport, Greater Manchester£60,000 - £70,000Established in 1968, this company has built a reputation for innovative engineering design, stringent quality standards and compliance with European and International standards.The primary focus for this Sales Manager will be to focus on driving new business development in turf protection solutions, cable & hose protection systems, ground protection matting, ozone generators and walk through decontamination units to stadiums and arenas for concerts and outdoor events.The role will be incentivized to create sustained growth by achieving and surpassing aggressive sales targets, expanding business reach, and proactively developing new sales opportunities both in the UK and Internationally.The key responsibilities will include (but not exhaustive):

  • Develop a global business plan and strategy for implementation
  • Establish a sales and marketing structure defining functions, relationships, communications, roles and responsibilities to achieve profitable sales targets in line with corporate sales objectives and budgets
  • Travel as required to project sites, exhibitions, corporate and customer offices to meet with clients during the project life cycle.
  • Maintain and leverage relationships with current clients whilst also developing and identifying potential new opportunities
  • Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement
  • Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure that customer requirements are met
  • Possess a strong understanding of turf protection products and the competition in the industry.
  • Attend industry functions, association events and conferences and feedback on industry developments in turf protection and market trends
  • Responsible for global accounts, budgetary planning and implementation and submittal for capital expenditures.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and forecasts to provide clear understanding on the various business development initiatives across all industrial markets, provide comment on our performance in terms of business development, project pipe line and provide recommendations, where necessary on changes required to meet our business objectives
  • About you:You will have 10+ years of relevant or similar B2B solution-based sales experience to distributor and rental clients globally. Preferably some experience gained in a stadium and arena environment with some basic understanding of turf protection solutions along with a proven track record in global sales and business development.Persistence, technical skills, and knowledge of the product with strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. You will have exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals.
