Job Description

We are look for someone to manage a small but growing farm of cattle and sheep. We would consider a part-time position for the farming portion of this role. A full-time position would include farming and gardening duties.Main responsibilities:

  • Welfare and husbandry of livestock, including feeding, cleaning, bedding, and moving stock as required.
  • You must be confident with the use and basic maintenance of both hand-operated and mechanical machinery, e.g. JBC, hedge cutters, mowers, strimmers, compact tractors, etc. Ensure that machinery and equipment is operated correctly. Maintain and take responsibility for the equipment, which includes daily checks and cleaning of equipment when appropriate.
  • Undertaking any other general maintenance tasks, e.g. fencing.
  • Combined full-time role would include:
  • Experience with tending trees, shrubs and perennials will be essential and a horticultural qualification and a spraying certificate are preferable. Excellent plant and horticultural knowledge covering all aspects of maintenance gardening will be required.
  • Duties will include; watering, weeding, pruning and spraying, sowing, raising plants, shrub and tree maintenance, as well as propagating new plants.
  • Undertaking any other general maintenance tasks as required.
