Couples Job Braunston RutlandOur client is looking for a couple to help look after a family country home in Rutland and work as part of the wider estate team. The current Housekeeper has been with the family for 20+ years and they are now looking for a Couple to look after the property. The property is part of a shooting estate and sheep farm - Gardener, Game Keeper and Shepherd also employed. The main house has 7 bed rooms and is Grade 2 listed and there are additional external buildings, two with accommodation and an indoor swimming pool.The property is used as a holiday home and shooting lodge in the winter and is used by extended members of the same family. During the winter they hold up to 11 shooting weekends where they will be a full-house of 16 adults + children as well as the family visiting for long weekends / weeks during the rest of the year. This will be a varied role for a couple who enjoy country living and who can work as part of a team.Duties will include:Hands on cleaning, laundry and ironingShopping - household products and general supplies ahead of weekend shooting parties. Providing cut flowers for bedrooms and house generally.Cooking would at most be a cooked breakfast on a Sunday of a shooting weekend as someone local comes in and caters for the shoots and possibly informal dining for small numbers at other times of the yearFront of house - very informal and relaxed, greeting guests and serving teas and cakes for example and possibly serving drinks on the Saturday evening of a shoot weekendGeneral household hands on maintenance - making sure the property is kept well maintained year round - a builder normally comes in the summer months to do what is required annuallyGeneral estate work - assisting the gardener and gamekeeper as and when required - someone with some countryside management experience is necessary.Driving - some driving to collect guests from public transport may be required.Cottage accommodation provided on the estate - council tax and utility bills to be paid by the employeeStart asapFull-time role for both over 5 days normally Monday to Friday with weekends needed when the family are in residence£45,000+ gpa Required skills
