Job Description

Our client is a global food manufacturer based in the midlads who are looking to expand their finance department.Primary Purpose of the RoleSupporting the Senior Finance Controller ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of standard .costing and variance reporting. Provide proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management. Be a key input intocontinuous improvement process within the factory site.Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain accurate standard costs
  • Perform the weekly and monthly closing activities including preparation of manufacturing variances along with supporting analysis
  • Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers
  • Participate in profitability analysis in regards to costing and pricing
  • Provide new product costing and capital expenditure analysis for new factory projects
  • Analyse changes in product recipes, raw materials or manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost Variance analysis and review of cost allocation assumptions and rates
  • Responsible for monitoring the movement of inventory, validation of the cost of goods sold, and monthly plant and terminal inventory reconciliation for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordination with Operations and Plant Managers to facilitate the periodic update of the standard costs in the bill of materials
  • Assist with the timely and accurate maintenance, preparation and issuance of Variable, Fixed and SGs plant and corporate cost statements and allocations
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of factory operations and its product lines by working in a cross functional capacity in the product development process
  • Analyse labour, material, inventory, and purchase price variances and work to reduce costs and create lean manufacturing processes
Key Skills
  • ACMA qualified or equivalent by experience
  • Experience Minimum of 3 years experience with standard cost accounting (Financial/Manufacturing Costing & Analysis)
  • Strong standard costing experience with either SAP or Navision
  • Knowledge Good planning and facilitation skills, with attention to detail and can identify errors in data or written information
  • Good working knowledge of using Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Reporting and data analysis
