Reed Education are working with an Independent SEN School in Hackney who are currently looking for a Primary Teacher to support children with Complex Needs, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties.RoleKS1/2 SEN Primary School TeacherMonday - Friday Full TimeLong Term CoverSalary - £130-£180 per day dependant on experiencePerson Specification,Must Have:QTS/NQT StatusEnhanced cleared DBSMinimum of 1 years experience teaching pupils in a SEN setting in the pastWe are looking for an experienced SEN Primary Teacher with recent experience of teaching in a similar setting ideally, however teachers looking to move to SEN from mainstream education are warmly welcomed to apply for this role.The successful person would be someone who considers themselves a resilient individual, the children of this school will have all suffered trauma or neglect in some way and will naturally be challenging in their behaviour due to this.As well as resilient the successful person will have a passion for working with children and building lasting relationships with not just the students but parents, social workers and other teachers of the school.The SchoolThis school has an ethos of understanding, compassion and belief in supporting each individual student in their own individual way. This is done by setting boundaries by allowing students choices, giving them ownership over their own decisions to enablethem to leave school with the necessary life skills.The school is situated in Braintree and caters for looked after children with, in addition to a variety of SEN, including MLD and SLD. due to the current plans for expansion, there will be numerous opportunities for career progression as well as receivingongoing CPD from a highly experienced SEN Head Teacher.You will be an individual who can work effectively with students who have a variety of special needs. Specific experience with complex emotional and mental health needs, including looked after children is highly desirable.
