Job Description

Mechanical Assembly Technician Braintree Essex(Own transport preferred due to location)An exciting opportunity has arisen for an expanding manufacturing company who offering excellent benefits and a friendly clean working environment with potential long-term career prospects.The assembler position is a hands-on position that will be responsible for assembling parts.Ideally you will have a Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Motor Mechanics background.Candidate must possess a history of mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools and strong attention to detail. The successful individual will be self-motivated, dedicated, and have a good work ethic.ResponsibilitiesPrepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, sub assemblies, tools and materials.Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub assemblies.Read and work from technical d drawings , Variable sheet and general work order to determine the specifications of the parts rRetrieve needed parts for use in the assembly process.Assemble and install sub assembliesUses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specificationsPerform pre-work and post-work quality checks to ensure quality.Complete all inventory transactions; complete all paperwork as necessaryComplete all tasks as necessary; assist in other areas as neededMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, policy, and regulations.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededSkills / Attributes RequiredExcellent Communication skills both oral and written.Strong attention to detail, and a passion for quality results07.30-16.30 Monday - Thursday & 07.30-13.30 Friday.£10.00-£10.50 PH dependent on level of experience.Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate
