Working for a well-established electrical manufacturing company supplying to a variety of industries including Hospitals, Hotels and Retail. The Electrical Wirer will mechanically and electrically assemble, wire and electrically test distribution and MCCB boards, cabinets and cable harnesses. The role also has the potential for new product development by building prototype boards and testing boards before product launch. If you have previous electrical wiring experience within a manufacturing environment, we will be keen to hear from you.DutiesRead, understand and work from technical electrical CAD drawings and wiring diagrams.Build and test distribution and MCCB panels working to regulations: BS EN 61439 and BS7671 including energy metering and surge suppression devices.Pick and check all component quantity and quality before each job.Build and assemble wiring loom kits using a variety of cable crimp hand tools.Electrical testing, fault finding and repair.Production of Test Certificates.Work using own initiative with limited supervision.Ensure all components and finished goods are quality controlled and report any non-conformance to QA Technician.Maintain manufacturing records including; copy test certification, wiring diagrams, layout drawings and production sheets.Skills & ExperienceMust have previous strong experience in Low Voltage panel building environmentKnowledge of metering requirements and installation is essentialMust have good attention to detailFlash Testing CertifiedExcellent problem-solving skills and computer literacy preferredBenefitsHours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.35pm and Friday 7.30 to 1.1040 minutes lunch Monday to Thursday with 10 minutes tea break25 days holiday (3 to be used at Christmas)Free parkingPension Scheme, Life Assurance, Income Protection and Medicash scheme available upon completion of probation period.
