Job Description

RAC have two exciting new opportunities for Claims Handlers working within our Bradley Stoke office. The role is to provide an end-to-end claims handling services for the recovery of uninsured losses from notification through to settlement or dispute in line with internal policies and procedures.You will need to provide continuous administrative support to the wider claims team to ensure correct claims handing processes are maintained and accurate up to date information is captured for reporting purposes.The working hours are Mon - Fri 0900 - 1700 - hybrid workingWhat will you do

  • To understand, identify and maximise all revenue generating opportunities of service offerings to clients in line with their needs and policy cover.
  • To proactively manage UK and foreign uninsured loss claims, through to settlement or until the point of dispute or complexity in accordance with departmental levels of standards and internal procedures ensuring a fair outcome for clients.
  • To compile, process and record information relating to potential new claims, liaising with clients partners and insurers to ensure the facts of the claim are established in accordance with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and SLAs.
  • To ensure that all activities are carried out with the clients being central to our processes and decision making.
  • To provide accurate and relevant information on all aspects of the claim to various involved parties on a regular and timely basis.
  • To provide a white labelled service for our partners where required whilst maintaining the RAC standard of quality.
  • To provide initial accurate policy application and guidance to all clients, colleagues and partners on all products/policies provided by and/or serviced by RAC LS.
  • To build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers and partners to continuously improve the service provided and meet the clients needs.
  • Required to handle both inbound and outbound calls for own and other clients. All calls to be dealt with in accordance with claims services call matrix and guidance.
  • To support the continuous development and growth of Claims Services through administrative duties such as keying and collation of information and implementation processes.
  • To being receptive to process updates and changes
  • Ancillary tasks- to support the wider legal services departments when required through business needs.
QualificationsIt is essential that you have good written and oral communications skills and ideal if you have experience working within a team in a customer-oriented environment. This is a fast-paced role so you will be required to prioritise and meet deadlines/manageworkloads.A basic understanding of motor insurance would be ideal to help you to hit the ground running and desirable to have a basic understanding of Legal Expenses Insurance and the ULR Claims process.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications is essential
