Trainee Web DeveloperWe have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Web Developer to support the IT Team in the development and delivery of on-line products and services for an award winning national charity.Position: Trainee Web DeveloperLocation: HuddersfieldHours: Full time, 37 hours/weekSalary: circa £18,000 per annumDuration: PermanentBenefits: Include 25 days holiday, rising to 29 after service increments plus 8 bank holiday, Personal Pension Scheme, Healthcare Cash Plan, Employee Assistance Programme, Staff Awards Scheme, Company Sick Pay Scheme, flexible working patternsThe Role:As Trainee Web Developer you will supports the IT Team and have a sound understanding of the charitys IT systems, the core activity of this post is to maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) and training systems, and to create, develop and build eLearningcourses and content.The post holder is also required to work closely within the IT Team to manage, maintain and support the IT systems and website.Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain high quality eLearning courses and content using a range of available software
  • Assist in suggesting creative ideas for the design of on line course material
  • Evaluate eLearning customer feedback and use to inform future design and development
  • Administer Learning Management System (LMS) including maintaining user data
  • Problem resolution, acting as first line support for LMS issues and Live Virtual Classroom (LVC) training course delegates
  • Work as an integral member of the IT Team and provide support and cover to other Team members as required
  • Provide support to administer and further develop the current external website platforms
  • Work with the IT Technical Lead and Systems Manager to develop and manage key projects and services
About YouAs Trainee Web Developer it is essential that you have an understanding of IT systems in the workplace and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of internet technologies and systems, e-learning packages and of all MS Office packages.Although not essential experience of the following would be highly beneficial:
  • College qualification in an IT Systems related subject
  • Web design (HTML, CSS)
  • Web development (PHP)
  • Experience with Moodle
  • Video editing (PowerDirector)
  • Database and admin experience
  • Experience of Captivate
  • Experience of design and development of e-learning courses and content
