Job Description

Location: Home BasedContract: PermanentWe have a rewarding opportunity within our growing Group IT function to lead our Business Intelligence & Data Tower as Head of Data Platforms. This is an excellent time to join our IT Team as you will play a key part in shaping our business and the peoplein it, if youre looking for a varied and interesting role where you can gain invaluable experience, look no further!What will you doWith 4 direct reports, and responsibility for the wider 30-strong specialist team, youll lead the delivery of the Redde Northgate group data portfolio. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimising the BI & Data lifecycles to ensurethe platforms and data structures that Redde Northgate have in place are robust, scalable and innovative.Responsibilities will include:

  • First and foremost, you will set the strategy for the group Data portfolio and associated lifecycles
  • Driving and delivering continuous improvements to internal development and deployment processes
  • Youll be able to inspire the delivery teams, creating a winning environment in which the team can excel and do their best work
  • Developing policies and procedures that ensure all Data solutions meet the groups requirements, as well as internal information security standards
  • You should be able to allocate correct levels of resource and ensure programs and projects deliver system elements to time, cost, and quality
  • Ensuring appropriate tooling and licencing is in place to support internal development and deployment activities
  • You will agree and manage service levels with 3rd party suppliers to ensure contracted service, quality and other obligations are met
  • Researching emerging Data technologies and industry best practice
  • Serving on IT planning and policymaking groups to drive the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics
