Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen to join at well-established UK & International Haulage and Warehousing Company based in County Durham. The company has over 50 years experience in the Industry and is still family owned at operated. At the heart of the businessis our WarehouseOperation. The Warehouse Team are responsible for providing Warehouseand Stock support and loading and unloading3rd party and own consignments. The WarehouseTeam are needing an Operative to join them to assist.Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Report to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Assist theWarehouseTeam with the day to day running of thewarehouseoperation.
  • Loading and Unloading of Own and 3rd Party Vehicles.
  • Drive a Counterbalance and Bendi FLT.
  • Use a handheld scanner for all stock control matters.
  • Assist with stock counts.
  • Assist with the day to day housekeeping of theWarehouseFacility.
  • Make sure that all material handling equipment/FLTS are safety checked at the start of the shift and any defects are reported to theWarehouseManagement team
  • Report any damaged and missing stockto theWarehouseManagement team.
Objectives and Attributes.
  • To follow CompanyRegulations and guidelines for Health & Safety at all times.
  • Liaising with The Warehouse Manager to ensure that stock movements are completed allowing movements to happenseamlessly.
  • Help the shifts to achieve their KPIs/targets in a timely manner.The key result measures are:
Reduction in Sales refurbishment and repair costs (cost to business)Reduction in downtime between sale / rental and delivery of assetContinuous improvement of internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Basic knowledge level of IT including Excel, Word and outlook.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Good time management and able to meet deadlines.
  • Commercially aware to identify efficiency opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Consistently seeks to improve processes.
Work Remotely: NoJob Types:Full-time, Permanent.Salary: Hourly Rate.
  • Schedule: Shift schedule depending on candidate and able to work overtime as and when the business requires at both weekly and weekends.
