Job Description

Role:- Safeguarding Tutor/TrainerLocation:- BowburnSalary:- £25-30,000 DOEJob PurposeTrigon Recruitment are recruiting for a Safeguarding Tutor/Trainer to join our clients L&D team. The successful candidate will be required to support the delivery of consistent and engaging learning interventions across the business. You will ensure thatall of the clients employees understand safeguarding, and relevant processes. This role is part of a new innovation in the company, and you will work closely with a newly appointed Safeguarding Training and Development Manager.Role Overview

  • Designing and delivering learning and development interventions, in line with a trauma informed approach
  • Producing standardised training materials and documentation to support training programmes
  • Work as an integral part of the L&D team, attending meetings to discuss progress against the L&D strategy and business objectives
  • Implementing evaluation mechanisms, and work with the Safeguarding Training and Development Manager to improve the quality and content of the training in line with the feedback.
  • Discuss L&D strategy and business objectives and actively seek to add to best practice through ideas and innovation.
  • Design and deliver learning and development interventions, in line with a trauma informed approach, related to safeguarding (e.g. domestic abuse) as/when required.
Essential Criteria
  • Level 3 teaching qualification or equivalent experience (strong desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Office programmes.
  • Track-record of designing and delivering engaging training workshops.
  • Experience of having contributed to the creation of a positive safeguarding culture.
  • Knowledge of legislation and national policy for safeguarding children, young people and adults.
  • Sound knowledge of trauma informed care.
  • Experience of group facilitation and developing colleagues is essential.
