Job Description

Role Overview and OrganisationAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a keen and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join a friendly, established team in Durham. This role will involve working as part of a team in a growing business.The Role

  • Purchase ledger processing for UK, Ireland and Intercompany
  • Intercompany settlement of accounts and month end processing
  • Accruals/Prepayments
  • VAT returns
  • Month end reporting
  • Cash allocations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Inputting and maintaining accuracy of employee data
  • Collating and checking information prior to payroll run, for submission to group payroll.
  • Calculating additional payments, statutory payments etc
  • Payroll reconciliation and journal posting from group payroll reports into GL.
  • RTI submissions
  • Dealing with external agencies i.e. HMRC, Student loans company, Local authorities
  • P11d preparation and submission to group payroll to issue.
  • Temporary laboursubmission of time sheets, invoice checking
The Person
  • Qualified to AAT or higher
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working within a close knit team.
  • Ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team
  • Professional approach
