Job Description

Hybrid Role - 2 days a week in the office, 3 days a week at home.About the roleTo deliver the market pricing strategy to ensure VitalityHealth is at the forefront of the market resulting in achievement of volume and value objectives.Accountabilities

  • Monitoring key business performance metrics and present insights to key stakeholders.
  • Analyse and present back findings on key pricing initiatives.
  • Works closely with the technical pricing and pricing implementation teams to enhance market pricing models using cutting edge statistical modelling techniques and pricing models, refreshing analyses at agreed intervals.
  • Helps to deliver the market pricing strategy/approach to significantly enhance the profitability of the portfolio.
  • Works closely with the Data Science team to embed insights from our wider functions into our pricing, including insights from Clinical Risk, Vitality and Expenses and external datasets.
Skills requiredEssential
  • Degree in mathematical/statistics based subject.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to analyse problems and develop structured solutions.
  • Full IT literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint.
Desirable
  • Intention to become a member of Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).
  • Actuarial work experience.
  • Strong ability to develop skills in new software.
  • Experience and understanding of GLMs and machine learning techniques.
  • SQL skills.
  • R and Python coding skills.
