Tailored Recruiter is partnering with a highly reputable, demonstrably growing and profitable firm of Chartered Accountants, Tax Advisers, and Registered Auditors in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, for a key, onsite, Personal Tax Accountant role. This firm hasover 4000 clients across the regions, with a turnover of £5 million. They provide a wide range of accounting services to businesses and individuals in both the UK and abroad. This is a standalone role requiring a confident, seasoned expert in Personal Taxand those who wish to remain in this niche, technical field - albeit with a fantastic employer with an exceptionally low staff turnover rate.Role Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be expected to help manage the personal tax department of the firm and assist with day-to-day HMRC correspondence and clients tax communications. Additionally, you will be expected to assist with office duties allied to therole. The Personal Tax Senior will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, providing tax compliance & advisory services, and working closely with other members of the tax team to deliver high-quality service to clients.This is a client-facing role requiring you to interact with clients. Good communication skills and literary fluency are pivotal, along with strong, technical personal tax experience ideally gleaned from a leading accountancy firm with similar ownership ofpersonal tax responsibilities for that firm.Candidate Requirements:· Several years of experience in personal tax in UK, with a strong understanding of UK tax compliance and advisory services.· ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience as a Personal Tax specialist in an accountancy firm in UK· Have managed a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring all compliance and filing deadlines are met.· Prepared and reviewed personal tax returns and computations for existing client portfolio, ensuring accuracy and completeness.· Provided tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax savings.· Remain up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure that clients are informed of any relevant developments - and be the Personal Tax Specialist within the firm· Be experienced and comfortable working in a sole roleDesirable:· Excellent computational abilities and attention to detail - who live locally to Borehamwood.· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.· Robust interpersonal ability, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.· Takes responsibility for all Personal Tax responsibilities both for clients and Partners within the firmRequired skills
