Job Title: Mortgage Advisor - Second ChargeLocation: South HertfordshireSalary: Dependent on experience, plus uncapped commission.Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pmBenefits:

    • About our client and the role of Mortgage Advisor - Second ChargeOur client is one of the UKs largest specialist providers of mortgage finance, lending and brokering short term bridge mortgages, as well as distributing specialist second charge and buy-to-let loans, who pride themselves with their first-class service and expert market knowledge. They are looking for an experienced and CeMAP qualified Mortgage Advisor to join the Second Charge Advisory team of the Broker arm of the business.This role involves being able to provide solutions to customers by making suitable recommendations and advising based on their needs and circumstances, whilst attaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities for the role of Mortgage Advisor - Second Charge
  • Using effective questioning skills to establish customer needs, recommend lenders mortgage products and service to customers for whom they are suitable as part of a full advice and recommendation service delivered over the telephone.
  • Ensure that all advice is given based on a full and detailed fact find which complies with both the companys and our regulators requirements. Maintain accurate and relevant customer records.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of TCF and what this means to your role and how you can achieve this.
  • Keep up to date on lender criteria, knowledge of seconds, CBTLs, BTLs and regulation.
  • Present appropriate recommendations in a clear, concise, and accurate manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to DPA requirements
    • Experience and skills required for the role of Mortgage Advisor - Second Charge
  • Minimum of 2 years Advisory experience.
  • Whole of Market experience is essential.
  • Experience in the Second Charge Market would be beneficial.
  • Full CeMap qualification is essential.
  • CAS Status would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of the mortgage market.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse and present complex information in a clear, relevant, and interesting way.
  • Resilient, flexible, approachable, and self- motivated
  • Must be a team player.
