Job Description

Electrical Project Planner required. Our client is a specialist electrical contracting business, with nominations for such awards as electrical contractor of the year, looking for a Electrical Project Planner in the Hertfordshire area tojoin the team within the commercial sector. This role has come around due to the growth of the business.Successful candidates will have atleast 3 years experience in a similar position and business in a CDM and DNO environment.Electrical Project Planner Position Overview

  • Track and maintain all financial and commercial aspects of key projects to ensure they are actively followed and controlled, including tracking of monthly interim payment applications, variations and final accounts for submission.
  • Develop and maintain good levels of communication with both internal and external stakeholders which will include attending pre-start site meetings with clients.
  • To manage and oversee project designs within budget and specification in conjunction with external consultants, design teams and main contractors, to client satisfaction and approval.
  • Engaging and instructing main sub-contractors/suppliers in preparation of works. This includes initial evaluation or re-evaluation of tenders, and subsequent placement of works packages and orders in accordance with the final designs.
  • Liaise and manage Traffic Management consultants to develop any traffic management plans ready for submission of street work permit approval.
  • Responsible for developing and submitting H&S CDM documents, programmes of works, construction phase plans and O&M manuals, led by our internal administration team.
  • Ensure all projects are adequately resourced including the planning and establishment of activities related to site set-up, allocation of labour, sub-contractors and specialist materials.
Electrical Project Planner Position Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of at least 3 years of Project Management in a CDM environment.
  • A strong understanding of Electrical Building Services Installations and Project Management.
  • Knowledge of the electrical industry both commercial and in an DNO/IDNO environment.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans and drawings.
Electrical Project Planner Position Remuneration
  • Salary: £40,000- £50,000
  • Working hours: 8am- 4:30pm
  • Government Pension Scheme
  • Bonus (non-discretional)
  • 20 days leave (plus bank holidays)
  • Access to pool car
