Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge Are you interested in working with a prestigious company involved in working on specialist projects on restoration, conservation, and conversion of Listed and Historic buildingsOur client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on various exciting projects around Birmingham, Norfolk and Oxford as well as other locations in the UK. The Role· Planning and management of several simultaneous projects, from conceptual stages through to the execution of the project. · Planning, controlling and reporting on costs during the post contract phase. · Travel to sites around the UK to review progress with the Site Managers - initially this will likely involve travel to Oxford one day per week and Norfolk one day per week. Going forward, most weeks will require one or two nights spent away. · Liaising with clients at multiple levels, from site managers on a day to day basis to director level, within a variety of sectors. · Reviewing RFIs with site manager on a weekly basis and providing assistance. · Management of sub-contract valuation accounts and agreeing monthly valuations. · Preparation and issue of monthly project valuations. · Advising on betterment and regular liaison with the Loss Adjuster and Insured. · Management of design team including preparation of procurement programmes for delivery of design information (Management Contracting). · Buildability reviews of design information with Site Manager. · Reviewing tender design drawings/specifications and ensuring the full scope of work is included in the respective trade package.Requirements· Pre & post Contract experience. · JCT Contract experience (particularly Design & Build). · Procurement & Management of numerous subcontract trades. · High level of reporting skills. · Ability to control set budgets. · Ability and willingness to travel. · Good communication skills and commercial awareness. · Able to display previous experience with historic building experience ideallyIf this sounds like an interesting opportunity and you would like to hear more then do apply to this advert asap with a copy of your CV.
