Our client designs and builds machinery where the work is project based and each production line is bespoke to fit the customers needs.They are a small growing company with lots of work throughout the UK and Europe and are looking for an assembly technician who can work effectively to maintain and build their equipment.You will assemble parts , sub assemblies and complete machines . The work requires care to build the equipment right first time by understanding the objectives of each element and testing they are met at each step.You will work from the site in Bookham and will also travel to customer sites so you will ideally be a car driver.They require someone with good mechanical engineering skills , but you must be practical and hands on as you will be using tools, drilling , turning and milling. Knowledge of pneumatics and PLC control systems would be an advantage . You also need a critical eye for detail and to be able to think on your feet and problem solve.Sandiford Green operate as a recruitment business in relation to this role.
