Job Description

RECRUITMENTiQ is working with one of Scotlands leading Civils & Plant Hire firms to assist with their recruitment of an experiencedQuantity Surveyor.Our client is a family-run, independent business based in High Bonnybridge,which take pride in itsexcellent customer satisfaction, quality of work and outstanding safety record with continued investment and development of skills.Ideally, you will be a motivated self-starter with groundworks experience and report directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.Skills and ExperienceBasic understanding of AutoCAD.Some experience in managing contractual claims.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong planning and organising skills.Good communication skills and attention to detail.General IT skills and a good team worker.Among the duties expected of an ideal candidate are the following:Interim sub-contractor payments and site measurements.Ensure that cost targets are met in accordance with the build programme and through the effective management of the site team and sub-contractors.Prepare the cost/value reconciliation reports accurately.Liaise with site and contracts managers.Preparation of take-off for orders.Value and track changes/variations.Attend site meetings and liaise with the main contractor QS team.This is an exciting opportunity to gain direct experience and training from a highly skilled and experienced management and technical team.You will be able to demonstrate a wide range of skills, and this will be an excellent opportunity for you to advance your career.
