Job Description

KS3/4 RE SpecialistFULL TIME, UNTIL JULY 2024 - STARTS JANUARY 2024Prospero Teaching is looking for a Humanities teacher for one of our long-standing partner schools in Bolton. You will be responsible for teaching RE to Key Stages 3 and 4, and some lower school PSHE. Resources and schemes of work are plentiful and to ahigh standard, and the classrooms have recently undergone thorough modernisation.The school is a mainstream Secondary School with a supportive cover team and teaching staff. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. Our school is easily accessible by road (M61 and A666) - bus routes from Salford,Bolton and Bury are plentiful.The position is open to NQTs/ECTs and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Bolton, Lancashire
  • Position - Teacher of RE
  • Type of work - Long term Teacher cover
  • Start date - September 2023 (or sooner if possible)

  • Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Recent Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
  • Previous experience working in a UK school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
