Job Description

Joint Head of Dealing & Registration 14 month Maternity Contract - Basic salary £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, plus bonus, 34 days holidays, exceptional benefits package.To be considered for this role, you will be a subject matter expert in Dealing and Registration processes with a thorough understanding of the Fund Management industry and genuine interest in the Financial Services industry.The purpose of this role is to manage the Dealing and Registration team and objectives whilst ensuring all internal company procedures and FCA requirements are adhered to.This is a training and competence role inline FCA guidelines regarding the attainment and maintenance of threshold competence.Candidate

  • Qualified or working towards an IOC (Investment Operations Certificate) qualification
    • Duties
  • You will process all deals and registrations in an accurate and timely manner from a variety of data feeds and ensure deals and registrations are processed in line with internal procedures whilst providing exceptional levels of customer service.
  • To be sufficiently fluent in many technical aspects of collective investment scheme administration to service client questions and queries.
  • Ensure risk is managed and minimised, escalate any known issues, highlighting actions required to direct line manager and all procedures are up-to-date and fit for purpose (minimum review period - annual) and team members are cross trained and there is no single man dependency.
  • Ensure all transactions meet TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) guidelines and the team is achieving all deadlines and SLAs are adhered to.
  • Resolve and deal with any escalations/issues/queries promptly and professionally.
  • Produce and send agreed MIS to Senior Manager within agreed timeframes.
  • Conduct regular, structured, and documented 1-2-1s, constructive feedback to each direct report and producing 1-2-1 summary RAG reports whilst updating training and development plans for everyone.
  • For all new starters, collate a training plan and schedule to cover the 3 month probationary period including key milestones.
  • Complete year end and mid-year reviews professionally and on time and identify key players and develop a robust succession plan.
  • Ensure effective recruitment and retention of staff and team requirements, monitoring performance and any training recruitments.
  • Lead and or participate in team projects to deliver on time.
