Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals with a background in the prison service to join our team as School Support Specialists,where you will play a crucial role in creating safe and supportive learning environments for students.As a School Support Specialist, you will work closely with school staff, students, and community partners to provide guidance, support, and intervention services to students who may be facing challenges both inside and outside of the classroom. Your experiencein the prison service equips you with valuable insights and skills that will enable you to effectively engage with students and help them overcome obstacles to their academic and personal success.RequirementsThe desired candidate will:

  • Be resilient.
  • Be able to demonstrate empathy.
  • Have a passion to change young peoples lives for the better
  • Have an understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Issues.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional children related references
