Job Description

"Get up to £1,600 a month for accommodation if you do not live within 30 miles from the site. Full apprenticeship required - this role requires all employees to achieve the appropriate clearance relevant to the role".A well-known partner of the Ministry of Defence in the UK are looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join their team at the Bolton site. The primary duties of this position include carrying out manufacturing and testing tasks in the electrical department.The ideal applicant should follow product certification procedures, maintain high standards of workmanship, and ensure that project goals are achieved within the assigned budgets and timelines.What were looking for:

  • Formal technical engineering/ craft Electrical apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21.
  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent.
  • IPC 610 certified/ trained preferred.
  • Possess experience in electrical wiring, electrical fitting, and assembly (It is highly essential that you highlight these details on your CV.)
  • Previous experience in the aerospace or defence industry would be desirable.
  • Manual handling training; ESD training.
  • Lifting and slinging (including overhead cranes) training.
What youll get to do as an Electrical Fitter:
  • Certify the product in line with Product Certification procedure.
  • Demonstrated ability / willingness to certify own work in line with company quality standards.
  • Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
  • Operate a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
  • Fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.
  • Ensure manufacturing build, inspection and where relevant test times are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
