Job Description

A great opportunity to join as a stand alone accountant. This position is temp with opportunity to go to perm. The role is based in Bolton and offering up to £43,000 dependent upon experience.Client DetailsA market leading and highly efficient organisation has had an opening for an experienced accountant to manage the businesses finances. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team.DescriptionDuties include:

  • Preparing company statutory accounts
  • Preparing balance sheets
  • Preparing and producing management accounts for the business
  • Preparing relevant documentation for audit
  • Preparing income statements
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparing financial reports
  • Analysing and managing risk within the business
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Ownership of accruals and prepayments
  • Liaising with non-finance colleagues to ensure their understanding of costs and support their decision making
  • Assisting with year end tasks and audit
  • Producing monthly board packs
  • Reviewing and providing commentary on financial reports
  • Ownership of profit and loss report
  • Ad hoc duties
ProfileThe successful candidate will:
  • Have strong experience working within a management accountant role
  • Be able to manage a stand alone role
  • Have experience using sage accounting system
  • Have strong analytical skills
  • Be able to work within a team and independently
  • Be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes
