Job Description

The CompanyA market leading manufacturing company undergrowing a significant period of growth now require an SQA Manager.The Role

  • Day to day supervision of the Supplier Quality Assurance Department.
  • Implementation of the SQA strategy.
  • Continuously improve Supplier performance.
  • Ensure the use of up-to-date Quality Tools and Techniques to ensure newly designed parts are within the Supply Chain capability.
  • Continuously improve the capability of Suppliers manufacturing processes.
  • Reporting on the SQA department and Supplier performance.
  • The agreement and the implementation of the Supplier Audit plan.
  • The implementation of Supplier Quality Improvement projects.
  • The approval of new Suppliers to the agreed corporate process.
  • The continuous improvement of all departmental KPIs.
  • New part and process approvals (APQP/PPAP).
  • Liaise between supply base and project team.
  • Continuously improve Supplier performance.
The Person
  • HND/Degree level in an engineering subject.
  • Essential to the role is Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Lean knowledge.
  • Vast experience within a supplier quality role.
  • Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Supervision of a team.
  • Logical problem solving.
  • Best practice tools and techniques for managing supplier quality.
  • IT literate (Microsoft, Minitab, SAP).
  • Good team player with problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self- motivated with the ability to work without supervision.
  • Flexible and determined.
  • Prepared to travel as required.
  • Full, clean UK driving License.
