Thats why we want bold, creative and agilethinkers who can help us move forward and innovate.For further information about working for Northumberland County Council, please click here:http://workingThe ServiceRepairs and Maintenance provide responsive and planned works to the councils housing stock located throughout Northumberland We are looking to recruit an experienced electrical team leader to manage our electrical operatives and apprentices across an numberof activities undertaking inspection and testing upgrades repairs and new installations The role Management of electricians and contractors undertaking multiple electrical tasks ensuring all works are comply with industry standards and regulations The team leader will manage and mentor our electrical apprentices ensuring that the succession plan is adheredto with a flow of skilled and qualified personnel entering the workforce a qualified electrician in the following areas NVQ level 3 and hold City and Guilds 2382 18th edition City and Guilds 2330 (or equivalent) for electrical installations City and Guilds2391/2394 and 2395 initial Verification, testing and inspection The post will be that of qualifying supervisor for the repairs and maintenance service We are offering:A starting salary of £35,411 rising in increments to £39,493 (Band 8)25 days annual leave plus public and bank holidays (rising to 30 after 5 years of service) (pro-rata for part-time employees)Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme A wide range of staff benefits including a competitive annual leave provision Training and development opportunities For further information about this vacancy, please contact Keith Miller for an informal discussion.
