Customer Engagement CoordinatorBand 6 (£25,419-£28,226)Full time permanent position Northumberland County Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Engagement Coordinator. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting the value and scale of tenant engagement across our housing service, to increase involvement and ensure it is embedded; integrating tenants views and scrutiny into the design and delivery of new andexisting services. You will have a comprehensive understanding of housing related issues and up to date Government Legislation and an understanding of the current issues facing local government whilst possessing a high degree of political sensitivity. If successful, you will be responsible for making sure we are compliant in relation to the recommendations set out in the Social Housing White Paper - the Charter for Social Housing Tenants whilst ensuring there are a range of opportunities for us to workin partnership to deliver robust and meaningful customer centred services. We are looking for someone who also has experience in tenant, resident or community engagement, capacity and place building and experience in reviewing and developing methods for doing so in partnership with service users. In addition to being able to demonstratea good knowledge of best practice in tenant engagement. You must have exceptional communication skills and an ability to relate and empathise with all stakeholders is essential as well as having great competency in IT and written skills. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, resilient and tenacious with the confidence to engage with a range of audiences whilst being consistently innovative in your thinking. You will be part of our Engagement and Sustainability Team and work across the directorate and out in the district.
