Job Description

MTrec’s new career opportunityOur client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking for an experienced CNC Setter who has Milling using Mazak experience to join their team on a permanent basis.The Job you’ll do

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the production requirements of works orders and production schedules are met in line with the Company’s work instructions and quality standards and procedures.
  • Read and edit existing CNC programs, select the correct tooling to complement alterations within the process.
  • Upload / Download programs, set machines and monitor/inspect production alter tool offsets and operate the machine until batch is complete.
  • Monitor tool wear, adjust offsets, and replace tooling when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the machine.
  • Produce components accurate to drawing.
  • Ensure all work; tasks, procedures and documentation meet the requirements of ISO 9001.
  • Ensure paperwork is complete in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Take responsibility for the work area ensuring high standards of housekeeping at all times.
  • Demonstrate good team working ethic and commitment to highest quality standards.
  • Always follow health and safety requirements.
About You
  • College qualification, NVQ desirable.
  • Industry experience of a working machine shop is essential.
  • Mid/High volume manufacturing experience is desirable.
  • Time served apprenticeship.
  • Good standard of secondary education.
  • Industry experience of a working machine shop is essential.
  • Mid/High volume manufacturing experience is desirable.
  • Ideally Milling experience.
  • Mazak experience preferred.
