Job Description

Due to growth & expansion my Walsall based Events company are looking for a Transport Coordinator to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.Duties will include:-

  • Responsible for overseeing vehicles ensuring they are conforming to all regulations regularly
  • Route planning
  • Re-active in dealing with any problems en-route, due to the nature of the business time constraints are crucial and there is no room for error.
  • Checking event loads have been loaded on time and it the right manner
  • Ensuring all drivers have accounted for their loads
  • Maintaining Proof of Delivery notes
  • Allocating staff and routes
  • Tracking working hours
  • Pricing of standard jobs
  • Attend Events to help understand the nature of the business
  • Plan and organise the quick turnaround of loads for the new area of business
Key skills:-
  • Essential you have worked within a Transport role previously
  • You will have up to date knowledge of Transport rules and regulations
  • Must have fantastic communication skills and be able to build relationships at all levels
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to strict timescales
  • Must be flexible in terms of working hours due to nature of Industry
