Job Description

Quantity Surveyor required. Due to expansive and comprehensive order, our client is looking to appoint a professional individual in the role of Quantity Surveyor. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the leading and most well-established Aluminiumfenestration companies in the Northeast.Quantity Surveyor - Position Overview

  • To comprehensively manage, develop and grow the commercial team.
  • To advance existing and new relationships with clients by delivering excellence throughout our projects and exceeding clients expectations.
  • This role will be partly based at our offices in but will also entail travelling to various sites throughout the UK (A company vehicle will be provided)
  • To engage with clients ascertaining their requirements and our contractual obligations are met.
  • To make sure projects are completed within or below budget
  • Highlighting and pursuing value engineering opportunities through the project.
  • To comprehensively and accurately survey projects.
  • Placing sub-contract orders for various materials and labour as dictated by the project.
  • Pricing variations
  • Preparing monthly valuations
  • Preparing and submitting O&Ms
  • Directly reporting to the Operations Director along with the wider management team.
  • To work with the planning manager to identify future labour requirements
  • To work with project managers and our small works manager in their capacity as QS.
Quantity Surveyor - Position Requirements
  • A proven track record as a QS ideally within the aluminium fenestration industry.
  • A great communicator with the ability to foster excellent relationships with our clients.
  • Have a strong commercially astute mind, with a proven track record of bringing projects to completion on or below budget.
  • Have a solid contractual awareness with a comprehensive understanding of obligations within any one contract.
  • Have a relevant degree or equivalent in a construction/management related field (desirable)
  • In depth knowledge of the aluminium fenestration industry
  • A proven track record of successfully within the industry and field.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstratable commercial and contractual awareness.
Quantity Surveyor - Position Renumerations
  • 25 days holiday this does not include statutory holidays.
  • Statutory pension contribution.
