Estimator - Architectural Glazing SystemsJob Title: Estimator - Architectural Glazing SystemsIndustry Sector: Estimator, Facades, Architectural Glazing, Cladding, Rainwater Systems, Rainscreen Cladding, Building Envelope, Aluminium Windows, Aluminium Doors, Curtain Walling, Glazing, Main Contractors, Developers, House BuildersLocation: North EastRemuneration: £30,000 - £40,000 + profit related bonusBenefits: Full Benefits PackageThe role of the Estimator - Architectural Glazing Systems will involve:

  • Estimator position producing estimates for a high end manufactured range of architectural glazing systems such as: aluminium windows and doors, curtain walling, glazing, and rainscreen cladding
  • Review tender documents and produce high quality tender returns
  • Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs
  • Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects
  • Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond
  • Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated
  • Working as part of an estimating team of 3 supporting others where required
  • Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator - Architectural Glazing Systems experience with:
  • Must have experience working in an estimating position
  • Must have good technical knowledge of the faade industry (curtain walling, windows and doors, glazing, and rainscreens)
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Must be IT literate, ideally familiar with estimating software like Schueco and Logikal
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
