Job Description

We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a national housing organisation for full time, temporary to permanent Adult Learning Disability Support Workers.We are looking for several caring and compassionate females to work on a full time basis in a supported living service in Ystrad Mynach. This service is the home of 4 ladies with learning disabilities that require support with all aspects of daily livingsuch as personal care needs, bathing, budgeting, shopping and support with chosen activities in the community.

  • Job Title: Adult Learning Disability Support Workers.
  • Location: Ystrad Mynach (CF82)
  • Salary: £10.05 Temp - £19,336 Permanent
  • Shifts Pattern - Morning/mid shift/ afternoons/ wake nights shifts when staff are on annual leave.
  • Morning Shift - starts between 7:00amMid Shift - Vary between 10am starts and 3pm and starts at 10:30pm starts and finish 9pmAfternoon Shift - between 2:30pm/3:30pm/4pm - finish at 9pm or 11pm if doing a sleep in shift.
The successful candidate will complete a full time 12 week temporary placement before continuing onto a permanent full time contract with our client. Immediate starts are availableBenefits:

The role:What youll be doing as a Adults Learning Disability Support WorkerYou will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs which includes observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion,and honesty. You will be helping with their Progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals. The candidate: What youll need to be successful as a Adults Learning Disability Support Worker
  • A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning disabilities
  • Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months experience of working within a social care setting
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
