Job Description

About Us: We are a large primary school nestled in the vibrant community of Blackburn, committed to providing exceptional education and support to our students. With a focus on inclusivity and personalized learning, we strive to create anenvironment where every child can thrive.Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated and experienced 1:1 Support Teaching Assistants to join our team, specifically to work with pupils on the autistic spectrum in Key Stage 1. The successful candidates will play a crucial role inproviding tailored support and assistance to ensure the academic and social success of these students.Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and assistance to pupils on the autistic spectrum in Key Stage 1.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and other support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Monitor and record student progress, and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting independence and self-esteem.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils on the autistic spectrum is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Availability to work 5 days a week between the hours of 8:45 am and 3:15 pm.
  • Knowledge of strategies and techniques to support students on the autistic spectrum is key for this role.
