Job Description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Elec Bias BlackburnFood Manufacturing Sun - Thurs - Nights £40,000Gi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with a large FMCG Company based in Blackburn. Due to expansion this is an exciting time to join a heritage food manufacturing company in the UK.Job Role:As an Electrically bias maintenance engineer, you will be tasked for carrying out reactive, preventative, and proactive maintenance for all equipment on site. This unique role will provide a development pathway to enhance personal and professional development.Typical Duties will involve:

  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance of all equipment on site, Providing reactive and preventative maintenance (PPMs)
  • Attending to machinery breakdowns, fault finding processing equipment, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic machinery.
  • Installation of conduit, wiring and cabling systems
  • Repair/replacement of power distribution equipment.
  • Repair/replacement of electrical control equipment.
  • Removal and installation of pumps and motor
  • General onsite maintenance as and when required
  • Working effectively alone as well as part of a team of engineers onsite
Desirable experience
  • Have to have a relevant Engineering qualification, either Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Experienced in a manufacturing environment, food experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience working with rotating drums, packaging machines.
  • Experience with 3 phase and motors
  • The ability to read advanced electrical / mechanical drawings on new machinery.
