Job Description

Job title: Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer/ConsultantLocation: Bishopton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: Up to £48,000 depending on skillsWhat you’ll be doing:

  • Project Management and supervision of site characterisation and conceptualisation of potentially contaminated land
  • Supervising and scheduling of soil and water analysis, data management and interpretation
  • Designing, programming and implementing cost control of chemical/geotechnical site investigations and remediation verification including soil and hydrogeological field sampling and long-term monitoring
  • Being the technical author and reviewer for proposals, interpretative site investigation reports involving qualitative and quantitative risk assessments for human health, the water environment, soil-gas and property
  • Site supervision and management of remediation and earthworks contractors
  • Preparing the comprehensive remediation verification reports
  • Negotiating and obtaining necessary approvals from the appropriate regulatory authorities
Your skills and experiences:
  • Degree in chemistry, geology, environmental science, or civil engineering or closely related subject
  • Experience of site supervision of contractors and site work including soil/water sampling collection/logging, data handling, manipulation and screening
  • Technical report writing / DQRA / Liaison with regulators
  • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, MS Project: ArcView GiS, Holebase SI, Surfer
  • Working towards or attained MSc or Chartered in an appropriate discipline is desirable
