Job Description

Job title: Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer/ConsultantLocation: Bishopton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: Up to £48,000 depending on skillsWhat you’ll be doing:

Project Management and supervision of site characterisation and conceptualisation of potentially contaminated land
Supervising and scheduling of soil and water analysis, data management and interpretation
Designing, programming and implementing cost control of chemical/geotechnical site investigations and remediation verification including soil and hydrogeological field sampling and long-term monitoring
Being the technical author and reviewer for proposals, interpretative site investigation reports involving qualitative and quantitative risk assessments for human health, the water environment, soil-gas and property
Site supervision and management of remediation and earthworks contractors
Preparing the comprehensive remediation verification reports
Negotiating and obtaining necessary approvals from the appropriate regulatory authorities

Your skills and experiences:

Degree in chemistry, geology, environmental science, or civil engineering or closely related subject
Experience of site supervision of contractors and site work including soil/water sampling collection/logging, data handling, manipulation and screening
Technical report writing / DQRA / Liaison with regulators
Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, MS Project: ArcView GiS, Holebase SI, Surfer
Working towards or attained MSc or Chartered in an appropriate discipline is desirable
