Job Description

We are very excited to working with an excellent UK wide company who are looking to recruit for an experienced Project Manager. As part of their strategic plans, they have created this new role to support with sustainable projects. They are actively lookingfor someone to plan, design and execute ground-breaking initiatives to save waste.Within this role, you will be accountable for the overall planning and execution of large scale and complex strategic and transformative projects across Scotland. The role will have full project ownership through conception and initiation, definition andplanning, commissioning and execution, to go live performance and control monitoring.Role

  • Contribute to our growth strategy to design and plan initiatives, and to shape delivery
  • Plan, design, execute and monitor every aspect of a specific project
  • Identify and ensure delivery of key milestones and targets including time, cost, quality and safety to ensure that objectives are achieved in line with programme plans
  • Manage project budgets and financial forecasting
  • Mobilise and lead cross-functional teams
  • Identify opportunities, conduct primary appraisal and feasibility studies, and develop business cases
  • Proactive risk identification and mitigation to protect project delivery
  • Implement appropriate governance structures
  • Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured for completion of projects
  • Management of supplier tenders in line with our Procurement Policy
Requirements
  • Recognised project management qualification - Prince2, Association for Project Management (APM), Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
  • Strong organisation skills with a personable approach
  • Extensive knowledge of sustainability and environmental initiatives whether it professional or personal
  • Knowledge of government and regulatory compliance. i.e CEPA
  • Proven track record of managing large projects ( £1m+)
This role is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is passionate about sustainability and environmental concerns and is a hybrid position.
